Our analysis of the survey indicates that most parents/carers are very pleased with the education that the school is providing for their child(ren).

However, whilst I am very pleased with the overwhelmingly positive feedback, the survey has highlighted areas that we could improve on and I assure you that I will address these during the next few months.

Below is a sample of some of the many comments that parents made regarding ‘what they feel we are doing well’ and ‘what they feel we need to do to improve’

  • My child is safe and happy at this school.  He really likes school and his teachers
  • The school is well managed; the teachers work hard
  • I love the way the school values all children
  • My child is really happy at this school and is learning well
  • All staff are approachable and make themselves available to discuss matters.  If unable to help, I am always referred to the relevant member of staff
  • Denbigh is an outstanding school; they teach my child well
  • Good teaching.  Inform parents as soon as possible to improve their child’s learning
  • My child’s level of homework has improved due to him being set work that is more suitable to his capability
  • This school has improved exceptionally over the past few years
  • All complaints or queries dealt with fast and effectively
  • My child is always happy when he comes back home.  He told me everything about school and his teacher
  • My child learns lots of things at this school such as manners and discipline
  • Headteacher and all staff are kind and helpful
  • My child is very happy at school and it makes me happy as a parent to know my child is well looked after
  • Thank you to all staff you do a brilliant job
  • Apart from the poor quality of school uniforms, which are over-priced, the school is excellent.  I would recommend this school to another parent.  I can compare school progress from last 3 years as school is improving day by day
  • The quality of teaching and homework the children produce say it all
  • As a first time parent at DPS, I am really happy with my child’s progress
  • This school has very nice teachers also very funny.  Continue to do their best for child’s needs, puts children’s safety first, always have regular meetings for parents so they are aware of everything
  • I am very impressed with the progress my son has made since coming to this great school.  I am very happy and my son enjoys going to school and this has made him want to learn.  He tells me each day after school what he has learnt and he never did this in his old school.  I see my son wanting to join in and do after school clubs and this has made my son very different in his behavior.  Very pleased.
  • We relocated to Luton in 2014.  My son only spoke Italian, but with the help of the tutors in the school he can express himself in English and speaks good English.  Well done to all for helping me raise my son to a better level.  God bless you all
  • We are often informed about events really close to date

  • Homework is too hard
  • Too many cars parked in the morning and afternoon, sometimes making it dangerous
  • Perhaps there should be lunch clubs covering subjects like English and maths.  This I believe will help school results improve, so much less pressure on students and teachers
  • Needs to improve on bullying and children losing school clothes and bags too many times
  • Should be given more homework as only once a week for my child
  • My child missed out swimming this year and last year so he never got a chance to go with the school and this is his favourite time.  Would like to see more encouragement for children in the Art Department
  • We would appreciate more time to prepare children for themed events.
