Denbigh Community Netball Club

I am delighted to announce that we have been working with England Netball to set up a community netball club. This project is designed to encourage youngsters to exercise, get involved in team sports, be healthy and increase their confidence and communication skills.

Currently netball is widely available to adults but there is very little provision for under 11's and a serious lack of funding. The costs soon add up – courts, umpires and coaches, not to mention kit and club fees - many parents simply can't afford it. We feel passionate that sport and netball is essential to our school community not only to promote healthy living and lifestyle but to instil in children from an early age key life skills. Netball crosses all social divides and brings people together. It is a lifestyle choice that will help to combat obesity and promote a healthier way of living.

For Denbigh Primary School pupils these sessions will be free of charge. The charge for non Denbigh primary pupils is £2.00 which is payable at the first session by cash. Help us spread the word and create something our community can be proud of.

At present, we do not intend to participate in competitive league games, but we will host friendly matches for the team. If this season proves successful the following year we will enter a league.

The community club takes place during the school term every Tuesday, between 5:00pm and 6:00pm and training will be held at Denbigh Primary School. Please use the Cavendish Road Entrance. The club will use a qualified netball coach to deliver high quality sessions.
