School Meal Information

Lunch time procedures from September reopening

From Thursday 3rd September, the school will be required, as a part of its risk assessment, to run separate lunch time provision for each year group.

A timetable has been carefully organised to ensure that all pupils are able to have a lunch and break period within their own year group bubble.

At the start of term, pupils will be served lunches in two areas: our school canteen and our lower school hall. The children will receive lunch bags during this time.

As Luton Borough Council Catering Services provide school meals to a multi cultural community, they respect and cater for cultural and religious needs where appropriate.  All meat served at Denbigh Primary School is Halal meat.

LBC Catering Services purchase Halal meat from an approved local supplier and in schools where Halal meat is served, care is taken with separation in storage, preparation, cooking and service. Parents, carers and pupils can have sight of the halal certificates on request.
